Grocery Shopping and Meal Plan – June 6

This week, grocery shopping was a bit different. My husband took off work for most of the week, so he came to Aldi with me. Hence more snacky stuff. Then on Friday, Shaw’s was a big ordeal as the register was having problems and the poor young cashier was like freaking out and even the manager couldn’t figure it out. It took a while but we got it sorted out.

Aldi haul:

  • Lactose free milk – $2.79
  • Grapes – $1.78
  • Aldi brand Doritos (not as good) – $1.19
  • Tomato sauce – $0.25
  • Aldi brand Lucky Charms – $1.29
  • Diced tomatoes – $0.55
  • Chickpeas – $0.65
  • Saltines – $0.75
  • Blueberries – $1.69
  • Pasta sauce – $0.99
  • 5 containers of Greek yogurt – $0.65 each
  • Gallon of milk – $1.49
  • Pretzels – $1.29
  • Strawberry jelly – $1.79
  • Green peppers – $0.99
  • Bread – $1.39

Total: $22.13

Shaw’s haul:

  • Quick oats (forgot to buy at Aldi) – $3.99
  • Coconut milk – $1.79
  • Onion powder – $2.99 (plus bay leaves for free)
  • Shredded mozzarella – $2.34
  • Orange juice – $2.50 each
  • Italian Ice – $3.49, B1G1
  • Tortellini – $3.49, B1G1
  • Shrimp – $3.69
  • Baby Kale Mix – $2
  • Red pepper – $1.67
  • Lemon – $0.69
  • Lime – $0.50
  • Deli cheese – $6.15 (a coupon was supposed to apply)
  • Deli chicken – $9.11
  • Feta cheese – $2.99
  • Coupon for $5 off total (which caused the register problem)

Total: $44.89
