This book will be released on September 22, 2015. I received a copy through NetGalley.
I’m not a vegan, or even a vegetarian. I am a partial vegetarian, I don’t eat beef, and probably would go full vegetarian if it was a viable option for my lifestyle. I chose to read this cookbook because I’m always interested in cooking more meatless meals or incorporating more vegetables into my daily life.
It has beautiful pictures, which is a must for any cookbook, and the recipes are divided into six sections, for breakfast, appetizers, soups, salads, main dishes and desserts. Each section is jammed full of delicious looking, unique recipes.
My favorite part of cookbooks is when they can teach me something. Throughout the book, there’s a ‘Vegan 101’ section, talking about vegan staples, choosing ingredients, and some tips and tricks. Very informative if anyone is considering going vegan or just wants to cook more this way.
I saw several recipes in it that I’d like to try, such as No-Bake Granola Bars, Sesame Flax Crackers, Mushroom, Pecan and Lentil Burgers, and Blackberry Coconut Ice Cream. There’s a recipe for every taste and every occasion.
If you eat vegan or simply like going meatless once in a while, this seems like a great resource for you.
